According to majority of the students, while looking back at their most important teachers, the aspects are almost seen in form of what they actually recall. It all depends on their teachers that what the students will be recalling after finishing their time duration in school.

Learning to set their goals, to achieve their respective aims, take risks, responsibilities and believing in their own selves are all the major parts of their education and grooming session. Every student should learn all these aspects in order to become a better human being later in his or her life.

To test and achieve all the desired scores is often the best available measure to check the progress of any student but it is also true that most students do not capture every skill which is needed in the adulthood.

An optimistic research shows that socio-economical skills like self-restraint, motivation and adaptability are all key determinants for major outcomes of adulthood. Hence, it is not wrong to say that if a society wants to identify good teachers, then it ought to observe that how teachers are affecting their students. It is also commendable to observe that what methods do teachers adopt to handle their students and what are the effects of these methods on a student’s mind and personality.

A lot of results regarding the relation between teacher and student show solid evidence that observing a teachers’ impact through their students’ scores only depicts the fraction f their overall effects in students’ mind related to studies.

In order to judge a teacher fully, one might get total access to the teacher’s performance and judge the measures broadly. Classroom observation is also required in order to check the professional attitude of a teacher towards its students and class.

-A broad notion of teacher’s effectiveness

Over the last decade, individual teacher effectiveness has become a major concern for improving school systems. It is likely to be said that teachers who used to boost up students in achieving their test scores also deeply affect their success as adults. This optimistic behavior of a teacher towards the students also proves to be very helpful for a student later in getting any job as well.

“Value-Added” is a formula developed by economists. These economists said in the formula that standardized students’ scores are the fruitful result of teachers’ hard work. According to them, both of these entities are impossible without the help of each other. Valued-added members usually calculate individual teachers’ impacts and aspects of the life of a student’ learning and intellect by concerning the major host of factors. Fortunately, those teachers whose students continuously beat those odds that are considered to have high value-added, are awarded with the title of being best teachers among others.

At the same time, Every Student Succeeds Act allows all the states to examine that how efficiently schools are heading towards in helping students create new learning mindsets. They are allowed all the states to consider that how much a school is contributing in developing the habits that are associated with positive outcomes of healthy adulthood.

-The predictive power of a students’ behavior

By measuring the number of absences and suspensions, it is possible to judge the average of a students’ mind and capability quickly. This weighted average is known as “behavior index”. This basic and convenient logic behind this approach is that in the same way, a student who scores higher must have more skills in comparison to a student who does not have these higher scores.

One can clearly say and observe that a student who skips classes, acts out of the ways and fails to handover the tasks and homework most likely has lower skills than a student who does everything perfectly. These opposite behaviors of students tend to prove all the characteristics among students.

All of these patterns clearly reveal that the behavior index is a good way to predict the educational attainments. These patterns make all the skills descriptive. But, I accordance to these patterns, one cannot say that these behaviors are due to the impact of teachers. However, this is an extensive discussion which needs a lot of more research on psychological theories regarding teachers and students.
